Mary Martins is a Documentary Animation Director and Experimental Filmmaker from East London. Her work explores her cultural heritage and amplifies the voices of marginalised and underrepresented groups.
Screened films at international film festivals such as the Edinburgh International Film Festival, London International Animation Film Festival, London Short Film Festival, Aesthetica Short Film Festival, Lagos International Animation Festival, Spark Animation Festival, Canada.
Exhibited and screened films at London Piccadilly Lights, Berlin Limes, Seoul K-Pop Square, the Royal Academy, Barbican Centre, BFI, BBC4, Tate Britain, UCL Gallery and 198 Contemporary Gallery.
Nominated for best documentary at the British Animation Award, McLaran Animation Award and Performance Short Film Competition, Film London Lodestar nominee and winner of the CIRCA x Dazed Art Prize.
